I loved how Franklin focuses on structure, Provost on rhythm, and Le Guin on experimentation. Different techniques, but all pointing toward the same idea: writing is something we train, not something we wait to feel inspired enough to do.

Another one I teach my students is zooming in to an object/ moment/ emotion and then zooming out again to vary the focus
